Those suffering from facial scars or uneven skin tone may consider trying Bio-Oil for at least 4 weeks to see if there is any improvement.
When using Bio-Oil for uneven skin tone, it should be applied to affected areas twice daily, for at least 3 months. Bio-Oil does not contain a sun protection factor, so sunscreen should be applied once Bio-Oil is fully absorbed.
When using Bio-Oil for scars, it should be massaged in a circular motion on the scar and surrounding skin at least twice daily for a minimum of three months. Smaller scars have a greater chance of improvement in a shorter period, but older scars will also benefit from regular use of Bio-Oil.
For new scars, Bio-Oil should only be applied after the wound has healed, and it should not be used on cracked skin.
